Inspired by morning dew and droplets, this work captures light through air bubbles suspended within the glass and finely cut surfaces that reflect it with subtle delicacy.

Artist Profile : Shida Manami
Born in Aomori, Japan, in 1997. Graduated from Musashino Art University in 2020 with a degree in Industrial, Interior and Craft Design (Glass Making).
After 4 years as a staff member in the university’s Glass Laboratory, began an independent practice in 2024, based at a shared studio in Japan.
Her practice is rooted in her childhood experiences in nature, drawing on landscapes and atmospheres that evoke a sense of comfort. Incorporating motifs such as natural forms and subtle fluctuations, she creates glass objects and art pieces through a combination of techniques including glassblowing, kiln work, flame work, as well as carving and polishing.
